10 rustic objects revisited for chalet decoration

Designers revisit the heritage of furniture of Alpine tradition to respond to a new art of living between past and modernity.

Rather traditional or contemporary decoration? If you're a bit of both, that's good! In the mountains, the interiors of our chalets still respond to their immediate environment. On the material side, wood, stone, sheep’s wool infuse natural and vernacular tones. On the style side, it is difficult to do without solid wood furniture, “tree trunk” tables, animal skins, thick carpets and wool plaids to create an alpine atmosphere. But there are also proposals from designers to add a little clarity to these warm traditional atmospheres. To inspire you, here are some ideas for rustic furniture in a contemporary version.
