A selfie and inside look of the studio’s life

Seeking to keep dying legacies of Swiss craftsmanship alive, Studio Seitz is committed to making long-lasting, heirloom-quality pieces by partnering with family-run workshops in the remote part of northeast Switzerland where founder Kevin Seitz grew up. Together with work-and-life partner Rob van Wyen, the Brooklyn-based studio is all about designing with purpose, having recently expanded its signature Heritage Collection with an unfussy wall mirror inspired by classic Alpine milking pails. The studio is also planning to open its first live/work showroom inside a former babka factory later this summer, where they’ll highlight their latest creations alongside the Swiss and Danish artists that continually inspire them.
